Cafe Royal (also known as Halfway House)

A grand and colonial establishment, Cafe Royal looks out over the Royal Golf Course , providing players with the perfect opportunity to grab some refreshment at the 9th hole.

Primarily for snacks rather than meals, the Cafe Royal is also popular as a venue to sit and admire the stunning views while enjoying a drink or two.

Cantina del Lobo

One of the later arrivals, this authentic Mexican restaurant offers a taste-bud tingling experience for diners in the centre of the lively Praça location. With everything from burritos to fajitas, to the ever-popular tacos, meals in this restaurant are served on a sizzling hot plate, arousing your senses before you've even tucked in.

A gastronomic delight, there's an area where you can choose from the cocktail menu before moving on to have your food.

La Terraza

Another Italian restaurant, La Terraza is a very much home-styled eatery with a friendly atmosphere and a welcoming service.

The recipes on offer here are Mama's family favourites and you'll be treated to some truly Italian home cooked food. Enjoy al fresco dining on the terrace outside or relax in the cosy atmosphere of the restaurant inside, it's the perfect place to bring the family for some simple, uncomplicated but ultimately delicious food after a day out exploring

There's a whole host of meat, fish, pasta and pizza dishes on offer and there's a children's menu available too.

Ken Lo's Memories of China

This Chinese restaurant is one of the most authentic you will find, founded by the late Ken Lo, the author of more than 30 best-selling cookery books.

After setting up a string of restaurants and founding a cookery school in London, Ken Lo opened this restaurant in the Algarve before his death.

Offering a wide variety of traditional Chinese dishes to suit every palate, the mood is relaxed and casual and the setting includes a wonderful terrace view over Tennis Valley.

Sandbanks

If it's fine dining that you want, Sandbanks is the restaurant for you. Perched at the side of the ocean, Sandbanks specialise in fish dishes and seafood, taking advantage of the fresh catches available daily.

Breakfasts, lunches and dinners are all on offer here and in the summer months, you can also enjoy entertainment outside on the terrace.

One of the most popular dishes here is the Cataplana and Seafood rice, and if you can't see the fish you want on the menu, if you let the restaurant know in advance, they can arrange to have a freshly-caught piece brought in just for you.
