Quinta do Lago Nightlife

Quinta do Lago is an exclusive resort and not a place where the masses head to dance until dawn. Nevertheless, although the many villas and apartments offer seclusion and peace and quiet, that doesn't mean there's a lack of evening entertainment.  In fact, rather the opposite: residents in any one of the resorts villages have a wide choice of pubs and clubs to suit all ages and musical tastes.

From beach bars to cocktail clubs, for those with the energy to keep going after the sun goes down, there's plenty of nightlife to be found.  Here are a few suggestions about where to visit for a night out in Quinta do Lago

Praya by Chakall

Lying just outside Quinta do Lago on Praia do Ancão, this fun and funky restaurant is the perfect way to kick off an evening's entertainment.  Whilst few people would consider a restaurant to be part of an evening's nightlife, Praya offers something very different and could make an excellent start to the night.

The food in Praya is unrivalled with quirky Argentinian chef Chakall offering his unique fusion of flavours and cultures in a range of superb dishes. A widely travelled chef, Chakall draws on his experienced from around the world to create a menu that will blow your taste buds away.

However, it's not just the food which makes Praya worth a visit. Lying directly on the beach, there's a laid back and chilled vibe to the place which makes it ideal to start an evening out. In addition to the delicious menu, there's regular entertainment and events to get you in the right mood to sample the area's nightlife.

Melting Pot

Quinta Shopping Plaza lies at the entrance to the resort and is easily reachable by both foot and car from any one of the villages lying within.  Whilst by day there are a range of cafes and boutiques to keep you busy, at night-time there's one particular venue which draws the crowds: the Melting Pot.

This English-themed pub offers the atmosphere of a local boozer rather than a hard-core club or sophisticated cocktail bar, and this is perhaps one of the reasons why it's so popular with residents as well as visitors to the resort.

Although it's relatively bijou inside, this simply adds to the cosy atmosphere and creates a very friendly and intimate feel. If you want a bit of fresh air, there's plenty of room on the patio outside where you can sit back and watch the world go by. As well as drinks, the pub also serves a range of snacks if you fancy a nibble during your night-time excursions.

Open all year round, expect the Melting Pot to be busy but don't let this put you off paying it a visit!

Drinks on offer include international lagers and beers, as well as a large wine selection plus cocktails and liquors too.

deBarra Irish Bar and Grill

If you are looking for a lively night out, then deBarra Irish Bar and Grill is the place to be! Also located in Quinta do Lago Shopping Plaza, deBarra offers an authentic Irish atmosphere with live music and entertainment on tap.

Not just paying lip-service to the idea, deBarra is an Irish-owned bar so you can be certain that there are no gimmicks or fake posturing; this is a genuine Irish bar which offers a sparkling night out with plenty of good drinks, great entertainment and even better company!

With high-perch bar stools, dark panelling and traditional wooden decoration, deBarras effortlessly merges together Algarvian sophistication and a typically Irish sense of fun and frivolity.

With an open fireplace ready to be lit for those cold winter evenings, and also a delightful decking area outside, deBarras offers the best of both worlds.

If you aren't quite ready to drag yourself away from the golf, deBarras offers spectacular views of the 13th tee on the North Course from the outside decking!

The sports theme continues inside with a number of televisions dotted around the bar, all showing the major sporting events, plus the GAA fixtures.

If its music you are after, every Friday night you could find yourself shaking a tail feather to the live band which appears every week, the Six Irish Men!

T-clube

Far more than just a single venue, T-Clube is THE place to be and offers a range of different types of entertainment to suit all ages.

The lounge garden offers the perfect setting to make the most of the warm tropical evenings, with the chance to enjoy a relaxing dinner and dance right through the night. With cascading water and atmospheric lighting, it's the trendiest place to enjoy after dinner drinks.  T Piano Bar is a sophisticated affair lying in the centre of the complex, and provides an opportunity for revellers to enjoy a flute of champagne or one of the many cosmopolitan cocktails on offer before heading back out to the dance floor.

On the other side of the piano bar is the T-clube Disco, an area where you can dance all through the night amid an 'indoor garden', with the dance floor surrounded by leafy palm trees and plants, creating a unique outdoors-inside vibe.

Although T-clube provides lots of facilities for clubbers and those who want to enjoy a drink and a dance, they also have a sumptuous restaurant on site too. There's Japanese food from the Tsuru restaurant but there's European cuisine available too.

Perfect for all ages, guests can choose between the beats of the dance floor, the cool relaxation of the piano bar, or the refreshing atmosphere in the lounge garden. Designed to provide everything under one roof, T-clube allows guests to relax, eat, drink and party.

During July and August the entire venue is open every night but during the rest of the year, T-clube Disco is open at weekends only whilst the piano bar and restaurant are open from Tuesday to Sunday, from 7pm. When open, T-clube provides hot music and cool beats right through to 6am for party-goers with plenty of stamina...finishing just in time to get back on the golf course!
