Shopping & Dining in the Algarve

Julia's restaurant

No visit to the Algarve would be the same without a visit to the infamous Julias beach restuarant. Located on the beach at Garrao Beach, inbetween Vale Do Lobo and Quinta Do Lago. Indoor and outdoor dining with fantastic views along the beach and 'out to sea'!

A varied menu everything from fresh local fish to fantastic sticky ribs (Emmas fave!) We can recommend a Julias cocktail on the beach bar at sunset!

San Marco Pizzeria - Quinta Shopping

Located at 'Quinta Shopping', Quinta Do Lago in the main square.Better than excellent, family pizzaria with large outdoor/indoor dining area. Serving delicious fresh pizzas, pasta and daily specials. The lasagne is very good indeed.

Montys - Vale Do Lobo

Located at the "Praca", Vale Do Lobo.

Very popular family restaurant with large outside terrace area overlooking live bands in the summer months. Large inside restaurant and bar area which turns into disco/karoke after 11pm (without the children we know it is open until the early hours!).

Modern menu with an English twist including Bangers and mash with onion gravy, pasta, steaks, fresh fish . Booking very essential in the summer months, be sure to be at your table within 10minutes of the booked time or you could lose it!

The Lemon Tree

Located in the centre of Almancil opposite Millenium Bank, owned by a friendly Scots couple! Small quaint restaurant with fabulous outdoor courtyard (with shade for the midday lunches) or evening alfresco dining.Serving fresh and very yummy dishes.A favourite for Emma and her best friend when they get a chance to 'do lunch' without the boys and men! Snr Frango - Almancil

Located on the Almancil to Quarteria road, just after the Vale Do Lobo turning on the left hand side.

Award winning chicken restaurant. Simply the best chicken with or with out Pir Piri sauce!

Other choices also available including steak, fish and pasta.

The Navy bar - Villamoura

Located on Villamoura marina. Great UK style pub/restaurant overlooking the marina. Serving burgers, steaks and fish varied menu.

India Restaurant - Almancil

Located on the main road from Almancil to Quarteria on the right hand side just past Vale Do Lobo turning.

Better than excellent traditional Indian cuisine, trust us this is very good! Large indoor dining and outside terrace area .

Great choice and variation from chicken korma to prawn vindaloo, something for everyone, including takeaway (perfect if you don't fancy getting "done up" one evening!)

Located at 'Quinta Shopping' on the 1st floor overlooking the square.

Excellent Italian cuisine served in friendly surroundings, also with outside terrace. Varied menu from mouthwatering fresh pasta to fancy steaks.

China - Quinta Shopping

Located on the first floor of Quinta Shopping.

This is the most delicious chinese in town! The boys have now been converted and can be found tucking into chicken chow mein as often as they can get there!

Located only minutes from Vale de Lobo and Quinta do Lago, Fuzio´s is within easy reach if you are staying in the area.

It´s perfect for families with children and all Itialian food lovers, who just want to unwind with a nice dinner after a hard day of fun and sun
